Focus on: Burmese women refugees

On February 1st this year I flew to Bangkok Thailand, to run writing workshops with Burmese women refugees for Altsean Burma, an advocacy group dedicated to human rights. Debbie Stothard, Altsean’s founder and coordinator is an old friend from undergraduate student politics days at UTS and she invited me over to run the workshops with women who were preparing to submit work to the sixth edition of Burma Women’s Voices, a publication supported by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
