| Electric cars will help reduce greenhouse gases |
Southern Cross University will soon take delivery of three new electric vehicles – saving about twenty four tonnes of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere annually.

Focus on: Burmese women refugees |  | By Dr Janie Conway Herron, course co-ordinator in the School of Arts and Social Sciences On February 1st this year I flew to Bangkok Thailand, to run writing workshops with Burmese women refugees for Altsean Burma, an advocacy group dedicated to human rights. Debbie Stothard, Altsean’s founder and coordinator is an old friend from undergraduate student politics days at UTS and she invited me over to run the workshops with women who were preparing to submit work to the sixth edition of Burma Women’s Voices, a publication supported by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
