World-class research will be showcased at Southern Cross University’s annual Research Week, from August 1 to 5, with more than 50 events planned across the Gold Coast, Lismore and Coffs Harbour campuses.

The second annual series will celebrate the broad range of high quality research conducted at the University while raising awareness among staff, current and prospective students, graduates, industry, government, media and the wider community.

SCU Research Week’s three signature events are:

  • A keynote address by Queensland Chief Scientist Dr Geoff Garrett AO FTSE on Thursday, August 4 at the Gold Coast Campus, A2.20. The public lecture will be video-conferenced to the Lismore campus and the Coffs Harbour National Marine Science Centre.
  • An industry engagement breakfast on Wednesday, August 3 at the Lismore City Hall.
  • Peering into the blue’, a showcase of some of the University’s latest marine research on Monday, August 1 at the National Marine Science Centre at Coffs Harbour.

Visit the Research Week website for more information about these and other events.
